Reactions to the piece

One of the aims of Puzzle Project is to cross boundaries not only among countries, and languages, but also between art disciplines and practices. For that reason Puzzle Project UK commissioned and welcomed the creation of three reactions to the piece and one project.

Every artist was invited to provide a word that would be used to create a surreal poem curated by Ronnie McGrath. As part of the opening activities, McGrath recited to the public the result of merging all those words together in the poem Smile.

Last but not least, the artist Bess Frimodig related her PhD research with Puzzle Project and its UK edition. Frimodig is conducting research through a questionnaire that aims to identify the personal preferences in images . The overall aim of the questionnaire is to understand why a particular colur, design or image style is preffered over others. The respondents input will result in a limited edition print created in response to the collected answers of this questionnaire and be part of her PhD research in An honourable practice: Printmaking and social Engagement as well as to raise funds for the Puzzle Project.
